Culture is greatly affected by the surrounding environment, from the
animal life and plant life. The way in which on grows up depends on the customs
they are accustomed to, from growing their own food to certain rituals that are
established through the generations. As biodiversity is affected the changes
drastically change the outcome that is expected by giving the people something
that was unknown. Pollution and the use of natural resources at times have
negative outcomes by killing or overpopulating a certain species; which in hand
could be terminating to another life form if that is their way of survival.



I believe that government should take a role in protecting cultural
diversity, this should be important to them because it is for the betterment of
the country. Keeping the environment clean and able would be a way to continue
to experience the culture that has been around for years. The protection of the
animals that are endangered is a way to keep the community as it has been
through generations; some animals can only survive with certain factors.



The effect that pollution has on the world is one of the greatest and
hardest to be rid of, this is where government has a hard time changing. The
only way to do anything about this is to limit the ways that people live which
would cause a lot of problem. Another factor would be the increase in population
which brings more deforestation as a way to cities bigger. Though these are
better for society they are destroying biodiversity on many levels. I still
believe that the endangerment and plant life should be the most important
  because it is an effect that will continue to make an impact on the wildlife
  and culture that it brings along.

Belize sees the topic of globalization as a hindrance to their nation;
they believe that it would make a negative impact on their community.  This is why as a nation that have
increased certain aspects of society to their own standards, while also
  neglecting the help or merchandise from most countries. They encompass an
  understanding with the issues that their towns hold and are working for the
  betterment of the people. Instead of letting the people work for the big
  businesses that are trying to take over they try to educate and give people the
  training needed so that smaller companies will want to hire them. They
encourage this type of employment early on in life so that the residents also
follow this line of thought, this is why there are not many big businesses
because most will not work for them.


The community acts together as a social network, acknowledging the work
of each and developing relationships with another. This allows for simple
business actions to be done local and empower the community; fruits and food are
sold openly instead of in large stores letting the people earn a small living.
This proves that it is a society that is content with the small things; they
learn different ways to survive without having to work as much.


The government as a whole have created various groups that help out the
community, in fear that globalization will take place. They wish to help the
poor as much as they can not only for their sake, but also so that they don’t
give into the process of globalization. They understand that it could benefit
their way of life, yet still continue to decline this type of settlement.
Instead they distinguish themselves as workers and continue to keep the culture
that they wish to achieve.

The effects of roles in each society are most commonly alike in various
ways, except that many countries have given into the aspect of women being in
the working class and having the same ability’s as men. In Belize the fight for
respect has been one that women have fought to great lengths for, yet still have
problems with the consent of most. Women have always been seen as the
householder and the one who is to do everything to please their family; there is
no difference in this thought in Belize. In Belize women are expected to cook
and be the house wife’s that are usually expected.


               
In the past women were seen as property, being given from male to male
depending on her worth. This depended on her beauty and the amount of work she
could do in the household, this was the determinant for a successful wife; which
was the main priority in the past. As decades past the main purpose of women was
seen as only having the ability needed for the sustainability of the house hold.
 Today women are still somewhat
seen in this perspective because they are expected to cook, clean, and do what
their family needs.


               
Women in Belize have been allowed more freedom yet are still expected to
take on the roles that are usually occupied by women. This includes positions
such as nursing, cooking, or in child care; these are basically the only
positions openly approved in society. As the generations have continued the
treatment of women in certain positions has become less hostile yet is not
absolutely approved. The exploitation that is brought through the work force is
tough. Most women do not wish to work for this reason, yet they have to because
of their determination to survive.


I believe that the change that has happened here in America will be
present in Belize as well yet it will take a lot longer to achieve. –They have
developed in society to be owners of certain places and to be allowed more
  liberty than was once allowed. This has been a step higher than the past and
  the change will only continue to grow as the generations become more liberal.
  It is clear that the men that live in Belize want to continue the control they
  have over women and they allow society to see the effects of women in the
  workforce as a negative.
